01 Conformance Standard
AnalystInsights LLC (doing business as AnalystInsights.ai) strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Our target conformance level is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We view accessibility as an ongoing process and continuously work toward full conformance across all pages and interactive features.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance is based on four core principles that require web content to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust (POUR). These principles guide every design and development decision on our platform.
02 Accessibility Features
The following accessibility features have been implemented across the AnalystInsights.ai platform:
Semantic HTML
All pages use proper semantic HTML5 elements including landmarks (header, main, nav, footer), heading hierarchy (h1 through h6), and meaningful document structure.
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements are fully navigable using keyboard only. Tab, Enter, Escape, and arrow keys provide complete access to all features without requiring a mouse.
Color Contrast
All text meets a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against its background for normal text and 3:1 for large text, as required by WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
Screen Reader Support
ARIA labels, roles, and live regions are implemented throughout the platform. Dynamic content changes are announced to assistive technologies.
Additional Accessibility Measures
- Skip Navigation Links: "Skip to main content" links are available on all pages, allowing keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repetitive navigation elements.
- Focus Indicators: All interactive elements display visible focus indicators (minimum 3px outline) to help keyboard users identify their current position on the page.
- Alternative Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes or aria-hidden="true" so screen readers skip them.
- Reduced Motion: All animations and transitions respect the prefers-reduced-motion operating system setting. Users who have enabled reduced motion preferences will experience a simplified visual experience with no animations.
- Text Resizing: All text is specified in relative units (rem/em) and can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Form Accessibility: All form fields include visible labels, required field indicators (aria-required), and descriptive error messages associated with their respective fields using aria-describedby.
- Touch Targets: All interactive elements meet a minimum touch target size of 44x44 pixels for mobile accessibility.
- Language Declaration: The primary language of each page is declared in the HTML lang attribute to support proper screen reader pronunciation.
- Consistent Navigation: Navigation patterns and page layouts remain consistent across the platform to support users with cognitive disabilities.
03 Interactive Tools and Courses
AnalystInsights.ai includes interactive tools, gamified courses, quizzes, and AI-powered chatbots. Special attention has been given to ensure these interactive elements are accessible:
- Career Assessment Quizzes: All quiz answer choices use proper button roles, radio button patterns, or interactive controls that are fully keyboard accessible. Question progress is announced to screen readers (for example, "Question 3 of 10"). Results are announced when they load.
- Resume Builder Tool: All input fields include visible labels and proper aria attributes. Form validation errors are associated with their respective fields and announced to screen readers. Export functionality (PDF and Word) produces documents with accessibility considerations.
- Gamified Learning Experiences: Courses like the Epic Module Space Academy, The Whimsical Forest, and Excel Cyber Ride include keyboard navigation for all game-like interactions, ARIA labels on progress indicators and interactive elements, reduced motion support for all visual effects and animations, and focus management during transitions between stages.
- AI Chatbots: Chat interfaces include aria-live regions so new messages are announced to screen readers, keyboard-operable message input and submission, and proper dialog patterns with focus trapping where applicable.
04 Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations that we are actively working to address:
- Third-Party Embeds: Some third-party content embedded on our platform (such as payment processors or social media integrations) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We select third-party providers with accessibility in mind and advocate for improved accessibility where possible.
- Complex Interactive Visualizations: Some gamified course elements with complex visual interactions may offer a reduced experience for screen reader users while still providing access to all educational content.
- PDF Exports: While we work to ensure exported documents are accessible, some PDF exports may have limited accessibility features depending on the complexity of the content.
- Legacy Content: Older content may not yet meet our current accessibility standards. We are actively auditing and updating legacy content on an ongoing basis.
If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our platform, please contact us so we can address the issue promptly.
